Ward Halloween Party Invitation

My husband and I were in charge of our ward's Halloween party this year. I of course put myself in charge of designing the invitations! A lot of info had to go on 1/4 of a sheet of paper, to save on printing costs. But I kept in simple and everyone seemed to like them :)

Weekend Trip to Washington

My little sister made the cheerleading team at Ephrata High School, so I knew I wanted to go up and watch her during a football game at some point. We decided to go up Labor Day Weekend since it would give us an extra day to drive home. We flew into Seattle, so were also able to see Eddy, Miken and Pipken for an evening before we flew out the next day. I love visiting family!

Lantern Fest

Ever since I have heard about Lantern Fest, I have wanted to go. It's like Tangled in real life! We invited Zach and Ashlee to come up to Salt Lake and go with us. Although the wait was long and hot, we did our best to entertain ourselves and had some good food as well!

Etsy Shop Banner and Logo Design

My cousin Sydney asked me to design a new cover photo and logo for her Etsy shop, Belles Banners. The items she sells in her shop are adorable, so I wanted to make her new look match what she sells. Here are the final designs:

Zach is Married!

Two days after Geoff graduated from BYU-Idaho, Zach got married! It was a very fun weekend, and we loved getting to know Ashlee and her family a little more. We're excited for Zach and Ashlee and are happy to have Ashlee as part of the family!

He Did It!

Geoff has officially earned his bachelor's degree in Computer Information Technology from BYU-Idaho! I'm so proud of him, and very glad that our school life is behind us and we can move on with our life! Both our families were able to attend graduation, as my sister-in-law (my side) was also graduating and my brother-in-law (Geoff's brother) was getting married two days later. So it worked out perfectly for everyone to be there for him.

Geoff is looking forward to finding a career doing front-end web development, since he can now apply for them due to needing a bachelor's degree in order to do so. We're looking forward to this next step in life!

Utah Valley Parade of Homes

This past week was the Utah Valley Parade of Homes. I went with my friend Marissa to a few of the homes since we lived only a few minutes from some, and they were INCREDIBLE! Dream homes that I could only ever dream of living in one. Here are some pics of my favorites parts of the homes we saw.

Geoff's Senior Pictures

Geoff will be graduating from BYU-Idaho in two months. TWO MONTHS! We are very excited for him to be done with school. I took some photos of him in American Fork Canyon, and designed these announcements for him.

BYU's Women's Conference

What is the best thing about having a second bedroom and bathroom in our townhouse? It allows for friends and family to stay with us! We've had a few family members stay with us this spring, and there will be more this summer. We love seeing and spending time with family!

My mom and Aunt Mimi drove up this past weekend and stayed with us. I went to the BYU Women's Conference with them, and it was a very uplifting experience. We were able to listen to John Bytheway, who all three of us love! It was a short trip for them, but it was still a very wonderful weekend.

Celebrating Our Two Year Anniversary

For Geoff and I's second anniversary, I really wanted to go to Cavalia Odysseo. The company that puts on the show only comes to a couple locations in the U.S. a year, since they are based in Beijing. So when I heard that they were coming to Salt Lake (really came to Sandy, only 15 minutes away from where we live), I knew I had to jump on the opportunity.

Cavalia is basically Cirque du Solei with horses added in. I saw the original Cavalia show when I was 12 years old in Seattle, and I remember how amazing it was. So I knew this newer show wouldn't disappoint. And it didn't! The whole show was stunning. The visual effects and acts they performed were remarkable. This is the perfect show for any horse lover. Even Geoff, who was hesitant about going, thought it was great!

Preview of show:

I would definitely recommend this show to anyone who wants to see a show unlike anything they have ever seen before. It's a little pricey, but totally worth the money! Thanks to my wonderful husband for being a good sport and allowing us to have such a fun-filled evening :)

A Fun Zoo-iversary!

My parents, sister, sister-in-law, nephews and niece all drove down to Utah to spend a couple days enjoying Spring Break. Geoff and I spent the majority of our anniversary at the Hogle Zoo with all of them. It was nice and sunny, and my face definitely got some sun! I was able to use our nice camera to take some photos, and I just can't get over how good of quality they are. So I'm posting them on this blog to show them off!

General Conference Weekend

This past weekend was General Conference, and I always look forward to being uplifted by our prophet and apostle's messages. This conference was extra special, as we got to go with Geoff's parents who had never been to conference before! We went during the Saturday Morning session. It was exciting to see their reactions to the conference center and everything that comes with it.
