Christmas 2016

Since Geoff had to work on Christmas Eve and Christmas, we had our own little Christmas at home. I'm sure you're thinking "That's so depressing that he had to work!", but it was actually fine. He works from 11 to 8, so we had all evening on Christmas Eve to open our Christmas pajamas, then we had all morning to open gifts and make a yummy breakfast on Christmas. I liked having a calm, relaxing Christmas with just the two of us! Plus, Geoff got paid almost triple of what he normally makes working on those two days, so it was nice seeing the extra money in our bank account!

Our tree at the beginning of  December when there were
no gifts under it yet!
This year's new ornament.
Christmas PJs... I got a new robe for my PJs!
We also got to talk to Elder Whetstone on Christmas! We were the first ones he FaceTimed... We felt so special! We had no idea he was going to call... We just finished opening our gifts when Geoff's phone started ringing. Although the called ID said "Mikenzie Whetstone," we thought it was Eli, since he now has Mikenzie's phone and number. But it indeed was Mikenzie! Best Christmas ever, we miss him!

Love you, Elder Whetstone!
A couple days after Christmas, we drove to Washington to spend a few days with our families for New Years. It was great seeing everyone, even "Little One" herself. We also saw Eddy, Miken and Pip! We miss them not living in Utah anymore :( Every so often Geoff gets sad thinking about how much he misses the Pip!

Reunited with Pip!
We introduced our families to the game One Night Werewolves, and it was a huge hit every time we played. Eli loved it so much he ended up buying it! We played it on New Years Eve at the church, and more and more people kept joining in to play.

Best game ever (for now)!
We also got to see Holly, Brad and their cute kids! We went out to dinner in Moses Lake. It's been way too long since we saw each other, but I love and cherish the special times we are able to get together.

Holly, Anslee, and I.
All in all it was a fun time in Washington. I loved seeing all the family we did, and staying at my Grammie and Grandpa's for a couple nights was so fun! Geoff and I would wake up to my Grandpa making yummy buttermilk pancakes, eggs, sausage, and much more! Hopefully we're able to go back again sometime this year before Christmas, maybe around June if we're able!

Sissy!
