Lindsey Stirling Concert

Yesterday, Geoff and I attended The Music Box Tour of Lindsey Stirling at the Red Butte Garden Amphitheater. It was amazing to say the least! Lindsey Stirling sure knows how to keep her fans entertained throughout her entire show. I'm still in awe how she was able to play the violin seamlessly while dancing, kicking, bending, jumping, and doing everything else at the same time. There's no one else that can do what she does!

I love that she performed only a few songs from her new "Shatter Me" album. A lot of songs she performed were classics that made her famous on YouTube, and that I'm familiar with. I love some of her newer songs, and am so happy my favorites were included! Also all the props she used throughout the show were so neat!

Also, who remembers the band Karmin from a few years back? They was Lindsey Stirling's opening act, and although all of their songs were new and ones I'd never heard of, they closed with their one hit wonder (in my opinion) Brokenhearted! I was singing along with them and everyone else in the crowd!

Baby Announcement - Chloe Marie Brotzman

One of my best friends/past roommate from college had the cutest baby girl! I was so excited for her, that I offered to design some baby announcements. She of course said yes! When she sent me the photo to use, I about died.... Little Chloe is has the biggest smile! Way too precious. I used one of the templates that I now am selling in my Etsy shop.

Can't wait to meet Chloe soon!

Trip to Ephrata... After Not Visiting for Over a Year!

We finally were able to make a trip to our home town of good ol' Ephrata, Washington after not being there since we got married! Geoff's crazy work schedules and me getting a new job recently has made it a little difficult to just get up and go. But we made the 11 hour one-way drive and visited our family and friends that we've missed so much! The main reason we went was for Geoff's brother Zach's mission homecoming. I'm so glad Geoff was able to see him after not seeing him for almost 4 years!

I also had a grilled cheese from DK's (the homemade bread.... it's the best!) and saw my cousin's new house that she and her husband built. We were only there for 3 full days, so it made it hard to do every single thing we wanted to do. But that's alright, there's always next time!

The only picture I took during our whole trip!

Happy First Anniversary To Us!

Today, Geoff and I have officially been married for one whole year! It's pretty crazy how time flies. But it's definitely been the best year yet and we're excited to celebrate many more anniversaries to come!

Since Geoff had to work today, we celebrated last night with a fancy dinner at The Melting Pot then had a relaxing evening watching Interstellar. We also took photos yesterday to remember our very first anniversary!

I had to have my (virgin) pina colada!

Cheddar cheese fondue with bread, fruits and veggies.

Meat fondue with steak, teriyaki beef, pork,
chicken and shrimp.

Milk chocolate fondue with fruits, rice krispies,
pound cake, brownies and marshmallows.

Complimentary chocolate covered strawberries for
our anniversary!

Here's a video I made for our first anniversary. I'm so grateful to be married to Geoff! I love him so much!

Welcome Home, Elder Whetstone

Geoff's brother, Zach, returned home from his mission yesterday! I was pretty excited for Geoff to see Zach over FaceTime after not seeing him for almost four years. His flight ended up being 2 hours delayed, so he didn't fly in until midnight our time! There was no way I would be able to stay up until then, but Geoff did and was able to see him arrive at the airport and greet the rest of his family.

We're excited to drive up to Ephrata in a couple weeks and see him in person and hear more about his adventures in the Marshall Islands!

We're happy to have you home, Zach!

Happy Birthday, Geoffrey

Yesterday my husband turned 23! Although we both had to work and Geoff didn't get off work until 9 at night, we still made the most of the time we had left. I made him a yummy dinner, a homemade better than you-know-what cake, filled the entrance of our apartment with 23 balloons, and surprised him big time with an iPad Mini! I don't think he has gotten off that thing since he opened it!

The day before Geoff's birthday, his younger brother Mikenzie had driven down with my cousin Jarred to deliver trees to the Costcos in our area from Willow Drive, a tree nursery in my hometown. I think it was the perfect pre-birthday for Geoff to spend all day with his brother. They walked around Temple Square since Mikenzie had never been there before. Later that night, we went to Chili's with a few of my other cousins and I had the waiters and waitresses sing to Geoff for his birthday! That was pretty fun.

I posted a birthday picture of Geoff along with these words:

"Happy Birthday to the best husband a girl could ask for! There's no better feeling than knowing you're loved and mean the world to someone, and I feel privileged to be that person in your life. I hope all the balloons, the better than you-know-what cake, and your new iPad Mini can make up for not being able to celebrate until 9 at night once you got off work! I love you more than I could ever express through writing. Here's to celebrating another birthday together!"
